Across Uttarakhand, our work brings senior citizen welfare, active ageing, training, capacity building, community development, research, awareness and social empowerment into practical, district-level activity.
Delivered through training sessions, community forums and field camps in Uttarakhand.
Programmes & Workshops
Training, community engagement and research in practice
Training & Capacity
Workshops for caregivers, volunteers and rural health workers
Training and capacity-building sessions equip caregivers, volunteers and rural health workers with practical skills for supporting older adults in their own communities.
Community Engagement
Forums that build local peer support and digital assistance circles
Community engagement forums bring older residents, families and neighbours together to share knowledge, support one another and learn everyday digital skills.
Research & Advocacy
Action research informing policy and district welfare programmes
Field-based action research gathers grounded evidence that informs ongoing policy advocacy and district-level welfare programmes for senior citizens.
Our Method
A four-step framework from assessment to evaluation
01
Community assessment
We begin by listening to residents and local organisations to understand welfare needs, existing support and the priorities of each district.
02
Training and preparation
Caregivers, volunteers and rural health workers receive structured training so that local capacity grows alongside each programme.
03
Implementation
Workshops, community forums and field activities are delivered with local partners, adapted to the settlement and its everyday rhythms.
04
Field evaluation
Outcomes are reviewed with participants and communities, and lessons feed back into research, advocacy and the next cycle of work.
